Fdroid version?

Will this app make it on fdroid?

Probably not (at this moment) as I assume the reason to have it on there is for the security, privacy (from Google), and update notifications (compared to manually getting the app from GitHub releases).

• Security: The APKs in the Releases tab and the app distributed on the Play Store are built using GitHub Actions via this workflow.
• Privacy: The app does use Sentry for error logging, though you can build a version of the app without using these directions (which uses this workflow to build the APKs).
• Update notifications: We have a mechanism in place that on app launch, sends a request to GitHub API and compares the latest release version with the app version and adds an indicator on the setting icon that there's a new release. In the app, you can see the release notes with links to the GitHub release notes with the APKs (which you can probably translate the site to understand the changes themselves) and the Play Store link if you installed the app via the Play Store.

Though, I think the app might get rejected for anti-features due to 2 of the reasons mentioned above (Sentry & the update notification mechanism).

I'll probably reconsider this in the future when I have more time on my hands since I'm busy working on the next major release.
