If Ascent Guidance, "Drop Solids Early" is selected, the "lead time" parameter only seems to do anything if the Delta-V stats window is open and actively calculating the stage timing it seems. If the stats window is not open, then it seems to ignore the "lead time" and drops the solids after less than a second into the burn instead of the expected number of seconds prior to the stage.
