Refactoring the FlipdotAPI to use NumPy has proven to be a valuable speed increase. Additionally, NumPy brings a bunch of useful matrix manipulation functionality.
The downside would be to have NumPy as dependency when using the FlipdotAPI.
This is a work in progress PR which aims at implementing the change and ensuring compatibility between all applications currently using the FlipdotAPI.
