I work in strategy and operations at KC Digital Drive, a nonprofit advancing digital equity in Kansas City. I am not a traditional engineer. I build practical tools, often with AI as a build partner, to remove friction for the people doing frontline digital inclusion work.
- KC Digital Navigator ISP Tool is a deployed Progressive Web App that helps Digital Navigators find affordable internet options for Kansas City residents: address lookup, low-income programs, current pricing, and a printable handout for clients. It works offline because navigators do this work in libraries, community centers, and living rooms.
I start from the moment a tool actually gets used, not a feature list. I care about building things frontline staff and community members can use without training, and about keeping them maintainable by non-engineers.
Digital equity, internet access, and using AI to give small teams leverage they would not otherwise have.
